The Whitechapel Building
Located opposite Aldgate East Underground station, The Whitechapel Building is prominent on Whitechapel High St and was previously occupied by the Royal Bank of Scotland. We are working as principal contractor on this project to upgrade the building heating and cooling infrastructure to bring some previously mothballed systems back into use.
The project also includes the upgrades of the building HV infrastructure including the construction and installation of two new HV switch rooms.
Project Highlights:
– Construction of two new HV switch rooms
– Installation of new HV cabling, protection and switchgear
– Installation of new plate heat exchangers to allow a previously mothballed chilled water system to be brought back into use
– Upgrades to the heating system to provide further resilience by connecting and recommissioning a previously mothballed system via a plate heat exchanger
