Working with Specialist energy performance contractor Breathe, MSL have been completing the MEP works associated with the installation of 4 new main Air Source Heat Pumps and a number of satellite heat pumps and their associated power supplies located around the hospital campus.

The project is part of a Public Section Decarbonisation Scheme, set out by the UK governments Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, supporting the government’s net zero and clean growth goals.

As the building is over 50 years old and has a plethora of existing services which need to remain live throughout the project, coordination and careful planning has been key on this project to avoid any disruption to the hospital and its patients.
