Barnet Copthall & New Barnet Leisure Centres
We completed the M&E installations to two brand new leisure centres in 2019, both running concurrently and reaching practical completion September 2019 for Graham Construction.
Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre is a newly constructed £24M leisure complex located in Champions Way. The modern health hub, which replaces a previously outdated centre contains three swimming pools, with provision for 200 spectators, a large sports hall, exercise studios, a state-of-the-art Health & Fitness suite and three health improvement rooms.
New Barnet Leisure Centre replaced the existing enclosed Lido on to a new site. The facility contains a 25m, 6 lane Community swimming pool, a Learner pool, a state-of-the-art Fitness Suite with 85 stations, 2 Exercise Studios, Outdoor Tennis Courts, and a Café with a Spectator Seating area.
The projects strived to reduce carbon emissions utilising a combination of condensing gas-fired boilers, air source heat pumps, Combined Heating & Power (CHP) units, energy efficient LED lighting & Photovoltaic (PV) Panels.
